100m win in Mano a Mano Brazil

17th August 2014 – Usain returned to Copacabana beach, Rio de Janeiro to win the Mano a Mano 100m  crown to add to his 150m win from last year.  Usain clocked 10.06 secs to win from Mark Lewis-Francis of Great Britain with Jefferson Liberato Lucindo of Brazil 3rd and Wallace Spearmon of the United States 4th.

“The race was okay,” he said.

“I think the first part was pretty bad, my first part wasn’t as explosive as I wanted it to be but overall I think I executed well.

“I just need more races to get going so hopefully the next two races will be better.”
